Review: Slightly more interesting than its cousin The Perfect Holiday, This Christmas‘ poster at least jumps out at the viewer and seems a bit more festive and refined than the aforementioned film.

Trailer Rating: C-

Review: With an all-black cast, it appears we’ve got a restyling of The Family Stone which was a failure two years ago. Though, from the looks of the preview, the film won’t have the Diane Keaton-style reveal or any exceptionally original thoughts.

Oscar Prospects:

Even with the more popular cast of The Family Stone, it didn’t earn Oscar attention. I don’t think This Christmas is going to do much more than remind Academy voters of when it’s coming out (despite coming out more than a month prior).
