Review: This simplistic design doesn’t have a lot going for it. It feels like a short-sighted advertising ploy that someone slaps together for an event that they don’t think will have a lot of attendance. It certainly doesn’t scream excitement.

Trailer Rating: C / C+

Review: (#1) The first trailer makes this look like a child’s adventure to escape his parents on some kind of quest that’s only lightly referenced. His family doesn’t seem to be given enough attention and his journey is too overrepresented. (#2) Now, the second trailer gives his family stronger references and doesn’t give away too much of the film’s adventures, but it’s quite a bit slower than the original and feels like a glorified epic built in a not-so-epic world.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
