Review: This poster is cute in an innocuous way. It’s simple in an innocuous way. All around, it’s just plain innocuous. Neither good, nor bad, this poster does precisely what the film was intended to do: look adorable enough to try to entice younger viewers and women to the movies.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: As the preview opens, I’m immediately reminded of another kid-friendly dud: Eragon. Matter of fact, it’s so amazingly similar that only when you get halfway through the preview and find out more about the plot do you realize that it’s not a sequel to that film. The rest of the film looks like a combination of every other kid-animal film that’s been made, including Lassie.

Oscar Prospects:

The effects here look no better than those in Eragon which were still pretty good. Therefore, I would suggest that the film’s going to be passed over by Oscar for more Academy-friendly fare.
