Review: Symbolically fitting, but visually boring, this effort lacks a pleasing color balance and an excessively simplistic approach to poster design.

Review: (#1) The rhythmic sounds that are used, which may be footfalls and a walking stick, might accentuate the brief scenes on display in the trailer, but even the “by the pricking of my thumbs” tidbit feels utterly out of place and not terribly engaging.
(#2) Still not much to see here about the story, but the photography is indeed astounding. That alone could draw in the cineastes and the Shakespearean title should bring in those adherents, but it still hasn’t made the case for a broader viewing, even highlighting briefly Denzel Washington’s presence.
Oscar Prospects:
Joel Coen is directing without his brother, but the early buzz is strong, so it’s a contender.
