Review: (#1, B-) The design is a bit too brightly colored with the yellow an overbearing choice but it has a nice visual balance of images with the setting and the core trio all getting a fitting representation. It sets the times and place effectively.

Review: (#1, B-) With a cast like this, you hope for a film that’s far better than this trailer makes it look. Jumping back and forth in time will be an interesting choice and if it turns out as well as something like Joy Luck Club, it could be something genuinely engaging. However, the trailer never quite makes the case for something that will be heady or contemplative which will be crucial.

Oscar Prospects:

The cast alone would suggest a potential Oscar contender but the trailer doesn’t quite make the case for such.
