Release Date:
August 28, 2015
Synopsis:
From IMDb: “When the estranged daughter of a hard-working live-in housekeeper suddenly appears, the unspoken class barriers that exist within the home are thrown into disarray.”
Poster Rating: C- / C- / D
Review: (#1) Apart from its attempt to create a mysterious blur, the design is unnecessarily simplistic. (#2) Equally simple, but it isn’t trying as hard as the previous. It has some thematic elements, which helps a little, but probably not enough. (#3) No drama. No applicable theme. It just sits there on the wall with everyone just walking by ignoring it.
Trailer Rating: C
Review: The plot isn’t revolutionary, nor is it too gentle. There are probably some interesting relationship dynamics here and the star does have the potential to deliver a solid performance, but I cannot imagine anyone wanting desperately to see the film after a trailer like this.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
Trailer #1
