Review: (#1, C) The empty background, oppressive lettering and expressionless faces don’t tell the viewer enough about the film to be enticing.
(#2, C+) It’s not clear what thematic reason this design has but it’s certainly striking with the red and yellow making extreme counterpoints and blending into the structures behind them.
Trailer Rating: B / C+

Review: (#1, B) While this might be his first English-language film, there’s not a single bit of dialogue in the entirety of the trailer. While there are some interesting, wistful moments, the effort feels a bit too polished and clinical to be compelling enough.
(#2, C+) It’s difficult to sell a film like this with a trailer this tepid. The actors meander through the trailer saying things that might seem deeper within context but feel rote without it. There’s no sign of the powerhouse performances anyone heard about out of the festivals, so it’s unlikely to generate much buzz with this trailer alone.
Oscar Prospects:
Pedro Almodóvar’s first English-language film will likely be an Oscar contender, especially for its stars; however, the enigmatic trailer doesn’t suggest enough Acting to make it.
