Poster Rating: C; B-

Review: The poster only features two of the plagues covered in the film and still seems too busy.
While a central part of most small towns, the church is a bit too prominent and the sky is way too red. The second poster, being absent of color, is slightly better. Although it focuses too much on Hilary Swank, it’s at least a bit more classic, personal and more appropriately captures the essence of the film.

Trailer Rating: B-; B

Review: The first trailer gives away much of the film’s plot and makes it look like little more than a debate between science and religion.; A little more enticing, the second trailer does keep the science vs. religion theme but eliminates plot elements revealed in the first trailer making the film seem more suspenseful.

Oscar Prospects:

There are ten reasons I can think of that this film won’t make it to the box office. There’s the plagues, horror genre, harsh Biblical morality…and the list goes on.
