Review: (#1, C+) It’s bright and vibrant, which will certainly draw attention; however, it’s also superficial and limited with few intriguing details. (#2-#9) These character posters have a unique feel to them but there isn’t much to them at all. No unique taglines, just unique colors. Disappointing. (#10) While the IMAX designs we’ve seen are always mediocre, Dolby seems to be heading the same way. While they are ok with re-working their logo, the end result is less than spectacularly and a bit dull.
Trailer Rating: B+

Review: (#1, B+) What made a movie like Inglourious Basterds so fun was its ability to both take itself seriously and laugh at its alternative history. This trailer pulls a lot of that sentiment forward while insisting it’s based on a true story. Obviously, liberties were taken but there’s just enough fun on display that it should prove an affable hit.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
