Review: (#1) The black-and-white image given a flare of color does not make the effort more artsy. Matter of fact, it looks manipulative and with nothing measurable in the background, it’s all rather dull.
(#2) The black, white, and red motif doesn’t do much especially when the font is uninteresting and the background detail is likewise unappealing. (#3-#12) This series of character posters has distinctive details in the background, but their blurry nature with the excessive facial PhotoShopping of the figure makes for a displeasing effect.
Trailer Rating: C / C

Review: (#1) I suppose if you’re a fan of the HBO series The Sopranos, a chance to go back many years into the past and see how Tony Soprano got his start might appeal to you. To anyone else, this looks like a fairly simplistic origin story that looks like almost every other such mob film that’s ever been made.
(#2) This trailer does little more to sell the film to those who aren’t fans of the series it’s based on. The familiarity of crime drama tropes might convince some to give it a go, but many others will be bored by the lack of seeming inventiveness.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
