Review: This poster too closely resembles that of Alpha Dog and doesn’t do very that’s impressive. The off-kilter layout suggests turmoil in the film and the stars pictured are quite a bit friendlier on the eyes.

Review: Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of those actors that have successfully moved out of the TV comedy arena and made a career out of dramatic roles. This performance looks like it will be good, if only the film didn’t look like it was going to be bad. Instead of tattoos like Memento, this kid just writes in a notebook.
Oscar Prospects:
Gordon-Leavitt should be on the fast track to Oscar recognition but not until he gets these proto-blockbusters out of his system. It may take films like this to get him away from his 3rd Rock from the Sun image with the public before they see him as an accomplished actor. This film won’t be the one to launch him or anyone associated with it into the Academy Awards nominations.
