Review: Keke Palmer’s smile alone gives this poster some class. It’s sly and devious, but loving at the same time. The rest of the poster is dull in a way that I can’t effectively describe it.

Review: Were there not so many stereotypical flourishes featured in this underdog tale, it might be an affecting movie. As it stands, it feels like second-rate tripe that would only be rescued by Palmer.

Oscar Prospects:

Inspirational sports comedies have been trying hard to get Oscar recognition, but there’s little doubt this will be one of the first in a long while. There have been more noble efforts in the past and there are even stronger contenders releasing just this year.
