Review: (#1, C) An ugly yellow background with hideous blue colorations. That it tells the viewer something about the film without stealing an entire scene from it is at least a modest success. It also stands out quite well, which might bring some attention to the film. (#2, C) Happy foreground figures against the backdrop of war doesn’t have the right tone for most audiences, which won’t make it much of a success.
Trailer Rating: B-

Review: (#1, B-) It takes time to recognize a heavily made-up Pierce Brosnan but the trailer at least has moments that suggest it might be an interesting exploration of how the world treats aging veterans as they forget everything they went through to get to that point. The background characters seem thinly drawn and Brosnan’s performance isn’t given enough breadth to grow in the trailer but ultimately it feels like there might be more worth seeing in it.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
