Review: (#1) The “I” having toppled over is a neat affectation, but pointless while the core image looks more like Jon Hamm than Michael Fassbender, which also isn’t an issue. It’s just a rather dull effort.
(#2) A well designed painting for a poster that doesn’t have enough insets to be overbearing, but also not quite enough to be more than momentarily intriguing.
Trailer Rating: B- / B-

Review: (#1) There are some stylish elements here and it creates the impression of a thrilling assassination drama, but audiences aren’t entirely likely to find anything appealing in the trailer with no character to latch onto and support.
(#2) An almost syncopated design that builds tension relatively easily, but leaves out a lot of the character development that might bring an audience into the life of its seemingly emotionless central figure. That won’t help it build an audience.
Oscar Prospects:
David Fincher has been on Oscar’s radar before, but not in a major way. We’ll see how this works.
