From IMDb: “A woman watches time passing next to the suitcases of her ex-lover (who is supposed to come pick them up, but never arrives) and a restless dog who doesn’t understand that his master has abandoned him. Two living beings facing abandonment.”

Poster Rating: B

Review: The lack of good background detail is disappointing, but the foreground and font usage are clever if not original.

Trailer Rating: B+

Review: A fascinating, visually lovely trailer for a short film that goes perhaps a bit too far and positioning the narrative thrust of the film. There are some moments towards the end that suggest something a bit more powerful, but the trailer doesn’t entirely sell that, being built around snippets of images in a rising tempo of action with a piano underscore that feels ill-fitting at times.

Oscar Prospects:

The film might not qualify for feature-length narrative awards, but it may be a major contender for Best Live-Action Short Film.
