Synopsis:
From IMDb: “Looking to find an authentic, blood-curdling good fright for Halloween, five friends set off on a road trip in an RV to track down these underground Haunts. Just when their search seems to reach a dead end, strange and disturbing things start happening and it becomes clear that the Haunt has come to them.”
Poster: B- / C
Review: (#1 & #2) Both of these designs use the creepy, masked girl motif. The second might fit more accurately into the film, but it’s also not nearly as scary as they would hope. The first design isn’t exactly scary, but it’s a creative design with a vibrant color scheme and plenty to keep passers-by transfixed for enough time they might consider buying a ticket.
Trailer: B+
Review: While this trailer shows that the film focuses too much on the found-footage style, the concept is original enough that it should break through a crowded field of October contenders and earn an underground reputation as a suitable alternative to the traditional dreck that come out each year.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
