Review: (#1) With the ship split in half and the second half a distant visual element of the poster, you have a design that speaks more to the film’s premise than (#2) which tries to make this seem like it’s a disaster film in the making rather than a rescue drama.
Trailer Rating: B / C+

Review: (#1) The longer trailer is more developed and gives the audience a character to root for and sets the film up as a potentially tragic story, which will better appeal to audiences wanting dramatic elements. (#2) This shorter trailer acts more like a rescue drama that’s jam-packed with action, but incredibly limited in its human elements. That doesn’t make it seem more interesting.
Oscar Prospects:
You don’t release an effects-laden drama so early in the year if you think you’ll be an Oscar competitor.
