Review: (#1, C) The backdrop is an interesting choice but there’s too much emptiness here and the attempt to make it look like he’s falling is poorly executed. (#2, B-) A family portrait pose is an attempt at something creative and while it works in creating a sense of oddness, it tells the viewer very little about the film itself, which won’t entice anyone to see it.
(#3-#6, C+) An intriguing concept for poster designs that works well but still manages to feel dull. That’s especially true on the posters whose plastic sheeting make it difficult to see the art behind them.
Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) A post-apocalyptic musical. It was only a matter of time but what could have been a charged concept ripe for creative energy and sociopolitical commentary comes off as a poorly-conceived concept with unappealing musical numbers. Tilda Swinton might spice up the action a bit but the trailer just feels like it’s a letdown waiting to happen.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
