Review: (#1, C) The empty background might make the black figure in the foreground stand out but it doesn’t entice the viewer with details. There might be some curiosity over who this figure is but not enough to sell the picture. (#2, C-) As much as I would like to say that the red burial markers are an interesting touch, the rest of the design is so dull and empty that it doesn’t have the impact it should.
Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) These vintage horror settings aren’t generating the kind of enthusiasm or interest as they once were and when they all look relatively similar, it’s not surprising. This one tries to make its Wicker Man-style roots less obvious but it never succeeds in becoming the film that will carry on in the post-success excitement of The Witch.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
