Review: This isn’t scary. This isn’t creative. This is almost useless.

Review: (#1) Contrast the poster with the trailer and you have the difference between night and day. Whereas the poster doesn’t evoke any sense of creativity, the film’s trailer promises something that might feel derivative, but also feels quite fresh, especially in a sea of supernatural horror films that let paranormal activities rule their business model.
(#2) A twist on the Candyman concept, this film looks like it took the scariest parts of every other modern horror film and attempted to cobble them together to excite audience. The ultimate result is a film that will please some, but disinterest others.
(#3) Another trailer that doesn’t invest enough to make its premise feel unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Most of the elements the confirm that are pulled from prior trailers, which doesn’t make this look that much more interesting.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
