Review: (#1) You can barely tell that he appears to be holding a tape dispenser, which might play into the narrative of the film, but it doesn’t look particularly interesting in this specific context, especially with the dull and lifeless background and title area.

(#2-#5) In the question of what objects from an office could be used for murder, this poster series means well, but develops largely unimpressive overall designs. (#6-#10) Cheap black-and-white imagery with red lettering doesn’t add mystery to the proceedings, it makes the designs feel worn out and overburdened in trying to be inventive.

Trailer Rating: B- / C+ / C / C+

Review: (#1 & #2) These two trailers, largely copies of each other, are the Green Band (#1) and Red Band (#2) variants. Other than faint bits of language in the second trailer and a decent amount of blood, they are the same. The Red Band is supposed to show you what the film is really like and the most successful trailers give us something entirely different than the Green Band version, rather than a slight re-cut of it. Apart from these issues, the film looks like an interesting social experiment, albeit one that’s been overdone for years.

(#3) The concept presented in the original trailers is toned down a bit in this newest trailer, making it look more like a slaughter fest than an inventive twist on the genre. The lack of human interaction and relationship further diminishes its possibilities.

(#4) The film continues to create mixed impressions, those of an intense original horror seriocomedy, and that of a film that is trying too hard to be inventive. That combination doesn’t help sell the film as well as the first trailer did.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
