Review: (#1, C) A static, lifeless image that might feature the characters and their setting but doesn’t give the viewer anything interesting or engaging to look at.

Review: (#1, C+) There have been countless films that follow this familiar formula and this trailer does a poor job getting the viewer to see something of merit in its length. There are a few moments towards the end of the trailer that do create some measure of charm but they may be too little too late.

(#2, C+) A film like this needs all the narrative boost it can get and by avoiding the premise altogether, it only adds some confusion to the effort, though it does feel a bit more alive in its second trailer release than it did previously.

Oscar Prospects:

Early word from Sundance has been good, so it’s entirely possible this becomes a player but that release date is worrisome.
