Trailer Rating: C-; B; B+

Review: Damned teasers do very little to engage the audience unless they are already into the story. Sure, the title tells the entire storyline of the film, but the preview should have given us a little bit more than it did.

Why two different trailers were released in the same week I don’t understand, but these are definitely more interesting than the teaser. We get to see more of the beautiful cinematography and learn more about the plot.

The second trailer looks at the story from a different angle and through use of music and scene selection makes it a better draw for the audience. Perhaps that’s because we don’t have to listen to Casey Affleck as much in the second one.

Oscar Prospects:

I can see some tech nominations if its a success. If it’s not a success, it won’t make much of an appearance. If it’s critically adored, it could be a major contender and one of the longest titles in Oscar history.
