Review: (#1) A beautiful setting and an interesting figure, but there’s nothing else visually stimulating in this design. (#2) While the second poster doesn’t have the background to bolster its beauty, the design of the title and the floral patterns add to the design’s worth. (#3) A murky background. A plain title. A simple figure. There’s nothing very exceptional about this poster.

Review: If you’re interested in Asian historical epics, or at least samurai pictures with a slight historical bias, then perhaps this is the film for you. The design doesn’t do much to sell it beyond the pre-sold audience, which isn’t always helpful.
Oscar Prospects:
One of the year’s submissions for Best Foreign Language Film, this entry may not have what it takes to make it to the finals, but it could be a competitor.
