Review: (#1-#3) There’s not a lot to say about these designs by themselves. My letter grades tell you how effective I think they are at evoking the namesake’s designs. These look quite a bit like those of the Fast & Furious franchise, which goes a long way towards selling this parody. Unfortunately, there’s not enough humor in the posters to avoid confusion.
Trailer: C+
Review: Some excellent look-a-likes certainly improve the film’s chances of being better than it should be, but the humor in the trailer is far behind everything Seltzer and Friedberg have previously done. That’s not very helpful in making this film feel like a must-see parody.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
