Poster Rating: C+

Review: Although "groundbreaking" is displayed prominently at the top, the poster suggests nothing of the sort. Typical segmented film scenes try to highlight the film’s qualities to bring in an audience, but the poster doesn’t do very much to encourage attendance.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: The preview has some genuinely funny moments in it. Bearing humor that seems a bit like The Full Monty, Summer in Berlin won’t see a lot of theatrical business, but those who watch it may be pleasantly surprised by its apparently endearing subject.

Oscar Prospects:

This German foreign language film could be the next The Barbarian Invasions as it is a comedy of errors that doesn’t become the typical buffoonery.
It may be a contender for Best Foreign Language Film if Germany submits it..
