Review: (#1, C-) The strange decision to make this look like one of the myriad supernatural horror films of recent years is a choice that doesn’t make sense, especially with the utter lack of compelling details on display. (#2, B-) While the design itself is rather dull, the out-of-focus spider on the ceiling will certainly inspire revulsion among audiences with a bit of arachnophobia. (#3, C) While the prior design does create some tension within the viewer, this does less of that. Sure, the spider is stringing its web out from the dead body but that doesn’t frighten as well as it should.

Review: It’s rather surprising that a film about a killer spider would feel so lacking in tension. As someone who suffers from arachnophobia, there isn’t enough spine-tingling moments in the trailer to build audience interest.
