Review: (#1-#9) All nine designs are befitting of Hollywood, which could explain why they seem so old hat. The first design is a traditional all-star cast design that may mean these actors are well known in their home country. Regardless, it seems an odd style for a war film. That makes the second selection even more bizarre. It shares commonalities with a couple of designs from After the Dark, but neither are that distinguished. The final seven are all character posters. The backgrounds are so alike that you have to look closely to notice that the walls all have cracks and breaks in different places, which isn’t particularly inventive.

Review: For an IMAX 3D film from Russia, it is notably quiet. Sound issues aside, the trailer is very reminiscent of the products Hollywood puts out, but lacks a necessitating plot device that would make it appealing to auds outside of Mother Russia and even they might not know much about the origin of the film’s story.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
