Review: (#1, C+) There aren’t enough details here to make it truly captivating but it has enough elements that will appeal to anime fans without having to be terribly complicated. (#2, C) What the attempt of this design is doesn’t come forward easily and the yellow-and-black details just don’t jibe well with the reds, green, and pinks of the central image.
Trailer Rating: D / C / C-

Review: (#1, D) If you aren’t a fan of anime, this first trailer will utterly turn you off. The commonplace elements of anime are everywhere and there’s nothing remotely of interest for non-anime fans. (#2, C) Once again, fans of anime will find something interesting here but it also looks a bit similar to The Incredibles and that might make it a tough sell to American audiences, which is what the English dubbing of this trailer is intended to do. (#3, C-) Combining the best and worst of the prior trailers, this one doesn’t entirely make the film look derivative but it does make it look forced and unpleasant.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
