Release Date:
March 20, 2015
Synopsis:
From IMDb: “A young man in a personal tailspin flees the US to Italy, where he sparks up a romance with a woman harboring a dark, primordial secret.”
Poster: B- / B
Review: (#1) This colorful poster design is oblique enough to conjure weird images about what the film is like. That bizarre quality plays neatly into the film’s story. (#2) This is more realistic, but reminds one a great deal of old movie posters when everyone hired artists to craft thematically rich designs.
Trailer: B-
Review: The trailer begins like most tales about young love, but as the trailer progresses, our mental agility is tested and strange visuals begin to appear suggesting there’s something far more sinister beneath the surface. It’s still hard to understand where it’s going, but the Lovecraftian elements should appeal to an interesting subset of horror fans and non-horror fans.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
