Review: There just isn’t enough here to be interesting. There are three elements of note, but they don’t seem that well put together and they certainly don’t make the film look like it’s worth checking out.

Review: The horror genre has for the longest time dealt with commonplace fears in commonplace formats, appealing predominantly to white audiences. This Black-targeted horror film uses a concept that while not unique to the Black experience, feels embedded in it. That alone could make it popular even if it looks modestly formulaic.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
