Review: (#1, B) Lots of details here, which gives the design somewhere to go. It’s reminiscent of some comedies of the 1970s, which makes the 1990s setting feel overly nostalgic.

Review: (#1, C+) Transferring concepts from the 1970s to the 1990s feels like an attempt to make something feel fresher than it really is. Even Paul Thomas Anderson’s recent coming of age drama looked more interesting than this, though it really was set in the 1970s.
