Review: (#1) The attempts at simplicity simply don’t work. Too much empty space, creative but vacuous imagery, and a general lack of detail make for a poor design.

(#2-#7) While they aren’t all exactly the same, they have the same concept behind them and other than the body bag one, they don’t really do anything unique or interesting and even the body bag one looks poorly PhotoShopped. (#8) This one is ever so slightly more interesting than the prior designs as it tries to do something with the concept of lunacy and smiling. It’s like a trainwreck that you can’t just look away from.

Trailer Rating: B- / C

Review: (#1) Some elements of the trailer are genuinely creepy and the narrative seems intriguing, but after awhile, everything starts flying at the senses without rhyme or reason and the whole affair seems like a jumbled mess by the end.

(#2) Without the backstory of the film this trailer doesn’t work that well, failing to convey the creepiness of the premise and the horror of the film.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
