Review: Two stars, two weapons, two reasons not like this poster. The colors are drab and ill-fitting the style of clothing of the period and the expression on Liam Neeson’s face alone is enough to make one laugh.

Review: With so many visual similarities to Unforgiven, it’s hard to picture this as any more than a typical western. Anjelica Huston looks as if she made a touch of class to the production, but the lead performances from Neeson and Pierce Brosnan don’t look like they’ll be worth much and such an early-year placement means it wasn’t going to be popular with critics.

Oscar Prospects:

Since we’ve already seen an Unforgiven awarded, it’s doubtful that another similarly-styled western will figure at the Oscars even if it weren’t released in the first month of the year.
