Review: (#1) Not sure if this is intended to look like a stuffed animal or not, but that’s about the only distinctive element of the design worth thinking about. (#2) Monster wrestling comes through decently well here, but will that be enough? This particular monster isn’t appealing enough.

Review: Monster wrestling doesn’t sound much like a winner. There are a number of elements form a lot of animated films here and they aren’t brought together with anything close to creative energy.
Oscar Prospects:
It may have a lot of extra competition for Best Animated Feature with this medium being one of the few where artists and voice actors can work remotely in the face of the pandemic. It just doesn’t look like the kind of movie the Academy would ordinarily go for.
