Review: If you know him and love him, this will sell you. If you don’t know anything about the franchise or the character, it’s just a bit unnerving. Still, Vin Diesel fans who aren’t already enamored with Riddick will likely follow along anyway.

Trailer: C+ / C+

Review: A sci-fi actioner with seemingly no important themes outside of the very common revenge motif and the kick-ass destruction milieu. Fans will be sold instantly. The rest of us probably won’t care.

Vin Diesel gets to act all crazy and all actiony at the same time. The trailer doesn’t suggest many more emotions, but it does look like a pale Aliens-esque sci-fi/monster action/adventure, which isn’t a positive quality.
