Review: (#1) Only a little creepy. The distressed overlay is overused and the PhotoShopping of the maternal figure in the background is poorly executed. (#2) An almost clever design that’s wasted on an audience that isn’t going to make the connection or even care if they do. It’s a double-helix made of staircases, which suggests a inherited condition at the center of the film.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: The confusing trailer never quite lands on a narrative thread that will attract audiences. Is it a familial horror drama or a haunted house horror film. Does it blend both? What is the purpose? So many questions that the trailer never even contemplates, which makes the whole thing feel like an exercise in the lackluster.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
