Review: (#1, C) The artwork is impressive and it modestly references the titular oppressiveness but there’s not enough here to tell the viewer what kind of film it will be nor does it appeal to the audience it’s trying to reach. (#2, C) A much better design for fans of anime, the target of the film’s appeal but it’s a bit too chaotic in spite of having few actual details. (#3, C-) An interesting concept executed poorly. Presumably the overlord of the title, this effort tries to suggest that the film will put him down but it’s not quite as obvious as it should be. The art is solid but with so few details, it lacks specificity.

Review: (#1, C-) A confusing trailer with on screen titles appearing simultaneously with subtitles makes the whole effort a challenge to sit through, even for those who don’t mind subtitles. What’s worse is that the divided focus makes it difficult to any viewer who doesn’t understand the language to figure out what’s going on long enough to care about the effort.
