Review: The golden tones help suggest the “promise” of the legendary holy city of Jerusalem. The city within the “O” would have been slightly more effective had it not then been duplicated in the title. The actor layout is fairly common and otherwise there’s nothing truly original here.

Trailer Rating: C+

Review: We’ve seen friends and brothers separated by war countless times and we’ll even get another film (likely to be more successful) this year in The Kite Runner. This film covers the same storyline except between two friends at odds over the decision by the United Nations to force out Arabs to establish the state of Israel.

Oscar Prospects:

The Kite Runner will get all the attention this year. This film will be lucky to even be considered an also-ran.
