Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A modern Western inspired by the real-life “no man’s land” areas along the Texas-Mexico border. While out on a father-son border patrol, Jackson accidentally kills a Mexican immigrant boy. When Jackson’s father tries taking the blame, Jackson flees south on horseback, becoming a gringo “illegal alien” in Mexico. Chased by Texas Rangers and Mexican federales, Jackson journeys across Mexico to seek forgiveness from the dead boy’s father only to fall in love with the land he was taught to hate.”

Review: This design while largely similar to a lot of others, has an intriguing actor pose at its core, which makes it stand out. The background details are commonplace and forgettable.

Review: What doesn’t click in this trailer is the idea that someone killing someone on their own property, regardless of whether they were running, has been proven in courts of law to be legal. Perhaps the film wants to set the audience into a modestly fictional world where wrongs are punished, but this on-the-run concept feels a little hollow as a result.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
