Review: (#1, C) Why does the white lines segmenting the areas of the poster not match up with the grooves in the floor. It creates something a bit disconcerting and perhaps that’s the intent. Perhaps also this is just a scene from the film and won’t make sense without that context. Either way, it doesn’t energize the viewer.

Trailer Rating: C+ / B+

Review: (#1, C+) The trailer tries to limit the dialogue and also the plot revelation. The images are suggestive, allowing the audience to draw its own conclusions but confusion isn’t what it should be generating.

(#2, B+) Finally giving the audience an idea of why there’s so much praise for the films cinematography helps embellish what seems like a familiar and well-worn story. By creating something inventive and original to make it stand out, the trailer’s designer generates excitement for the end product.

Oscar Prospects:

This could be one of the year’s biggest contenders with strong reviews out of the festivals.
