Review: If you aren’t a fan of the artistic style the animated film is set in, you aren’t likely to be impressed with the design overall. It’s chaotic and colorful, which makes it stand out in the marketplace. It may not draw people to see the film, but it’s boldness is nice to have.

Review: Absurd humor; a voice cast that sounds impressive from a figurative perspective, but not so much from an aural one; and an animation style that’s both grating and original. All three elements combine to create a film that might not engender much interest.

Oscar Prospects:

The animated feature could be a minor Oscar player, but there is far too much competition out there and GKids has bigger fish to fry.
