Review: (#1) The first design is dark and minor, with no sustained interest-generating elements. It’s modestly stylish, but lacking in significant depth. (#2) If you have to sell a movie with Eddie Murphy’s image on the poster, there are probably better ways than this. It speaks little about the film in question and is stylistically bland.

Review: The film lays on the tropes heavily, but that’s enough for audiences to want to see the film. A movie about a young white girl and her black savior is everything Spike Lee warned you about even if the film looks heartwarming and well acted.
Oscar Prospects:
There might be some vague talk about Eddie Murphy, but ultimately the film looks like a saccharine, no-go Oscar contender.
