Review: We’ve seen the concept numerous times before, even in the recent past, where kids suddenly turn murderous. This twists that narrative around and puts the kids in peril as their parents threaten to take them out of the world. The concept’s already built precariously on corniness. The further outlandish addition of Nicolas Cage only serves to make the film feel a bit desperate.
