Review: (#1) This design lacks the chaos of the trailer and that seems fitting as it creates something of a balance. The content is also quite subtle, but requires a lot of reading and posters should be visual storytellers, not articles to be read, even if they be short articles. (#2) This has the chaos of the trailer, which feels like a more appropriate approach to advertising a film like this. There are a lot of things to read here, too, but they are a bit more easy to parse. That said, the design being in French won’t help American audiences who are stuck with the aforementioned effort.

Review: Even without having seen Searching, the trailer’s designers do a fine job reminding the viewer of that film while setting the expectation that we’re up for something new and unique. In spite of a lot of things going on in the trailer, keeping track of the narrative threads is relatively simple, though not always rewarding.
