Review: (#1) The halo effect is used poorly here with the characters looking up at the tree that will change their lives. Unless you’re already familiar with the story, it will have no emotional resonance for you and, even if you are, it might not.

(#2) There isn’t anything more interesting or important in this design except that it brings the actors to the fore rather than the situation. That might help give it a human connection for those interested in such things.

Review: As treacly and uninventive as a trailer can be, this one fast approaches it. There’s predictable outcomes, expected turns and mediocre performances anchoring the film. It will appeal only to its target demographic and to no one else.
