Poster Rating: B+

Review: There isn’t anything fancy or embellished here. It’s a simple concept bridging the film’s subject, trailer and poster. It’s visually pleasing and balanced.

Trailer Rating: B-

Review: Spike Lee’s been trying for last few years to bridge the gap between white and black audiences and with his latest row with Clint Eastwood, it’s clear he’s got a long way to go. However, the trailer is vague enough to make an audience want to catch it to find out what the film’s about and that may be just what Lee needs. And who knows, it might actually be great.

Oscar Prospects:

If this film is really good and the Academy isn’t too bitter about Spike Lee’s battle with Clint, this could be a big hit at the Oscars. They are suckers for war films where innocence is in danger and soldiers come in to nobly save the day. But, late September is not a good place for a potential Oscar nominee to open.
