Review: (#1) Is this meant to represent surveillance footage? That seems at odds with everything the trailer puts forth and with its black-white-red motif, it doesn’t stand out much from the plethora of other designs just like it.
(#2-#6) This series of character posters uses the aesthetic of the first poster, but doesn’t change enough up to be interesting. (#7) Because Mark Wahlberg can sell a film, they don’t really need anything else except an overused color scheme. (#8) A top-down view of a scene that has no relevance to the casual observer and thereby no interest. (#9) There are other people in this film besides Mark Wahlberg. Shocking. Yet, still the overused color scheme.
Trailer Rating: C- / C- / C

Review: (#1) Other than using the Overwatch name, which if Activision/Blizzard were wise they would just ignore or otherwise bring attention to a film that doesn’t deserve, there’s absolutely nothing interesting or riveting in this trailer. It looks to be a film that exists to try and drive men to the theater, but might even succeed at that.
(#2) The latest trailer does little to assuage the misgivings put forth by the original trailer. While they try harder to add interesting details to the trailer design and its structure, the same dull, overdone storyline still comes through loud and clear.
(#3) While not as mind-numbing as the prior trailer, this third one is just as high on itself without any genuine right to be.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
