Review: We’ve seen images reflected in eyes and on other surfaces before, but never a face-covering bandanna. And considering the subject of the film, it’s a perfect reflection of the style and substance of the film.

Review: The short teaser trailer is enthralling. It set up a shock early and never releases the viewer from its throes. What makes it even more compelling is that it can make a non-fan of the band Metallica (yours truly) and turn them into an excited potential viewer.
The full-length trailer is a bit more verbose, and by extension less tense, but doesn’t utterly destroy the good will of the teaser. The same fascinating imagery is present with a few more nifty elements that make this seem like a modern version of Pink Floyd’s The Wall, with the notable differences being no animation segments and the Floyd film was not a concert with a crafted background story added, it was just a twisted story set to a band’s music. Neither fact makes this a no-sale.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
