Review: (#1, C) This design doesn’t really speak to the film’s theme or premise. It speaks to the actor at the center of the film and even then, you aren’t likely to get the connection without knowing a great deal about Timothy McVeigh. What was the goal of this particular choice? Certainly not one that makes any sense.
Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) That this film is coming out so far removed from the Oklahoma City bombing doesn’t give it any relevance except as an exemplar of the danger or right wing ideologies taking hold in the mind of an easily-influenced malcontent. It would seem to have some salience in that regard but is playing fairly straight in the trailer, requiring a lot of reading into the material.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
